Password protect a folder on External HDD using Macbook Pro?
Hey all
Here is my problem, being honest so dont make fun of me please.
I have an external HDD 320GB which was formatted using Macbook Pro and now it contains almost 230GB of data in it.
There is a folder named “Stuff” on this external HDD of 40GB size; contains adult material 
Well apart from such content, it also has many useful softwares and some of my job data in it.
How can I “LOCK” or “PROTECT” that “Stuff” folder so that when some one else uses my external HDD either on windows based systems or macs, he/she cannot access the folder. By access I mean cannot open/delete the folder.
I have gone through many thread while googling but all just seemed so confusing that its went high above my head. Please tell me step by step procedure and also please avoid introducing “PAID” softwares as I am not gonna buy any software for it, if it is freeware then pleasure is mine ….

iMac is shutting down randomly. Help?
My Uncle’s Wife’s Cousin got his Mac on Thursday.
and he has been saying he gets annoyed since it shuts down for no reason.
i was working on iWeb today and the computer shuts down like every 7 minutes. Gosh i lost a lot of data once because it was doing that.
I want to know is there something i can do from my seat right now to fix it?
Suggestions to call Apple or contact them are welcome.
Just tell me what to say.
Please write down some of your problems that relate to mine.
Also, if the solutions don’t evolve buying softwares that would be great :]

eeeewwww he said buy a pc ,,, yuck,,, (holds up a cross) ,, sounds like a power issue if the shutdowns are truly random,, best case scenario in the concern of macs is to call support and tell them the symptoms,, 9/10 u may have to replace the powersupply =),, if not truly random u should know what u are doing before the shutdown occurs,,, really sounds power related,, maybe psu or fans
