ASUS Recovery DVD help?
I just want t ask if I use the Recovery DVD (which seems to be not an option) how can I use it that I would not lose data from my hard disk?
It’s just that an error shows up that system registry file is missing or corrupted and someone told me that i need to use the recovery dvd for that. But i’m not quite sure how to use it. I have very important documents on my hard disk. Please help me.
What I mean is if there is a way that could access my files first and backing it up before I use the recovery DVD because right now even Safe Mode won’t load in my laptop.

the best idea would be a new hard drive installed and the current one used as a slave drive then you would be able to recover your data.
but you would need more than a recovery dvd you would need a new operating system.
so that is why people back up there systems so when this happens its then not a major disaster.
