can a hard drive data recovery software take days?
Hello,
My hard drive is damages because i dropped it. It has been making a clicking sound and window does not recognize it. I ran a data recovery software hoping to get the data back. However, the program has been running for 29 hours now! it has about 300 MB. is this normal?
Also, any other suggestions to get the data back.

Data recovery for Seagate external hard drive?
I bought a Seagate external hard drive 4 months ago. I don’t even use it that much. I was going to move data from my pc to the drive and it suddenly stopped working. I have been trying to contact seagate and they’ll make you wait for hours and the websites warranty section is always down. Seagate offered mre $2200 & $1700 for them to recover my files. I am looking for a place where I could bring in my hard drive and recover my data.
